Jeanne Ellen Streff

Jeanne E. Streff, 88, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Simpson Health Center, Friendship Haven. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Celebration Center, Friendship Haven. A visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Celebration Center until the time of the service. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Jeanne is survived by her son, Steve (Janet) Streff of Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Leigh Streff of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Verla (Bernard) Ulish; husband, Richard and brother, Ernest Uligh. Jeanne Ellen Ulish was born January 29, 1929 in Barnum. She graduated Corpus Christi High School in 1946. She then attended Fort Dodge Junior College and then Iowa State University. She graduated from Teacher's College at ISU in 1950. She was united in marriage to Richard Streff in 1952. Jeanne taught in Rodman, Jamaica, Burnside and Harcourt before becoming a loving homemaker. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and Catholic Daughters of America. Memorials may be left to St. Edmond Catholic Schools and Friendship Haven Care Trust Fund.
