Jeffrey Mickel Hammen was born February 29, 1956 in Storm Lake. He attended Jolley schools and graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1974. He was united in marriage to Donna Kleemeier on April 20, 1979 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Rockwell City. Jeff farmed southeast of Jolley for most of his life but also worked doing construction as well. He loved to restore, buy, and sell tractors. He was a huge John Deere fan and loved acquiring antiques and other collectables. Jeff spent 40 plus years organizing and running softball in Jolley. He always participated in charity events and fundraisers whether it was grilling food or lending a helping hand. He was always willing to help anyone in need and had a love for each and every child he encountered. He was the most stubborn, generous, asshole you’d ever met.
Memorials will be donated to the local foodbank.
