Jerry Wesley

Jerry A. Wesley, 80, of Moorland passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Graceland Cemetery south of Fort Dodge. Jerry is survived by Doris; sons, Gary of Moorland; Randy and his wife Amy of Emmetsburg; grandsons, Austin; Greg; and Brent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Anne Wesley and brother, Tony. Jerry Wesley was born November 10, 1938 in Fort Dodge. He attended school in Moorland, graduating in 1956. He began farming there after and continued to be active on the farm until his death. In 1960, Jerry was united in marriage to Doris Nostrom. Throughout his life, Jerry has served on various boards and was active in running the Bohemian Hall. He enjoyed restoring old John Deere Tractors, dancing and meeting friends at Polka Festivals.
