Jill Schubert

Jill D. Schubert, 73, of Manson, peacefully passed away Monday April 15, 2024, at Park View Rehab Center, Sac City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday April 18, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery near Manson. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

Jill is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Tiffany (Marcus) Bliss of Carrollton, TX; and her brother, Larry (Mary) Onnen of Blair, NE. She is preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Arthur and Mae (Widestrom) Onnen, and her brother Jerry Onnen.

Jill Denise Onnen was born on August 23, 1950, in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Manson, graduating from Manson High School in 1968. After high school, she went on to continue her education at Iowa Central Community College. On December 19, 1970, Jill was united in marriage to Jim Schubert, and the couple made their home in Manson, eventually moving to the family farm near Manson.

Jill wore many hats- devoted wife and mother, homemaker, Campfire Girls leader and joyful friend. Jill loved the Lord and had a gift for leadership and service. She was very active at Our Savior Methodist Church for many years, teaching Sunday school and vacation Bible school, leading the youth group, serving as UMW president, and eventually becoming a certified lay speaker.
