JoAnn Doyle Manuel, 61, of Dakota City, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 8th in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Survivors include her daughter Jenifer (Chad) Lange of Dakota City, grandsons Noah and Max, sister Diann (Dave) Stensland of Thor, brother Ron Doyle of Humboldt, niece Lynsy (Andy) Harrigan, nephew Ryan (Abbe) Stensland and 6 great nieces and nephews Lincoln, Isacc, Ella, A.J., Allie and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents Clif and Ethel (Northrop) Doyle. JoAnn Kay Doyle was born on October 29, 1959 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Dakota City and Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1978. JoAnn was a dispatcher for over 30 years and worked at various trucking companies including Umthun, Smithway, and Decker Trucklines. On January 14, 1979 she was united in marriage to Ken Meyer and the couple established their home in Dakota City. To this union was born their daughter Jenifer. The couple were later divorced. JoAnn enjoyed gardening, doing crafts, painting, and loved to spend time with her grandsons. She would often make time to sit and relax on a sunny day.
