John Stuart Honeyman was born January 2, 1979 at St. Joseph, Missouri. He grew up in Farnhamville. John was educated at Cedar Valley/Prairie Valley Schools. He is a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ, his beloved Savior. John confirmed his faith in 1993 at First United Church, under the spiritual leadership of his trusted friend and confidant, Pastor David L. Kruse. John worked at several jobs throughout his adult life including setting up for concerts in Omaha, NE, working at a casino in Council Bluffs, serving as an overnight counselor and friend at Rabiners Boys Ranch, and retail sales in Fort Dodge. His charming smile and easy laughter made him a convincing salesman for the majority of his working years. He married Melissa Inman of Rolfe in 2006. They were blessed with two children, Theoden Nomar (Tian) and Willow Lynne. The couple later divorced. John loved people. He was blessed with the gift of making others feel comfortable in his presence. His keen wit brought lots of laughter to everyone he met. Johns many friends knew unquestioningly that he "had their backs." John considered friendship to be a forever commitment. He cherished his family and friends and nurtured them with phone calls and loving prayers. Being a father was the greatest joy of his life; he loved his two children with his whole being. He openly stated that they were the best parts of him, they made him proud every day. His love for them guided his every decision. John is survived by his two children, Tian and Willow of Rolfe; mother Marilyn (David) Jensen of Farnhamville, father Fred (Rebecca) Honeyman of Emerson; sisters, Leah (Luis) Rosado of Pomeroy and Rachel (Eric) Bill of Des Moines; stepsiblings, Christopher Jensen of Waterloo; Jeremy (Lori) Myers of Omaha, NE; Christy (Troy) Arthur of Council Bluffs, sister-in-law Margaret Kiefer of Washington DC; grandmother Betty Honeyman of Omaha, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
