Jonathan McCormick

Jonathan McCormick, 58, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

Burial will be at a later date at the Callender Cemetery. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Jon is survived by his children William McCormick, Mariah McCormick, siblings Jerome McCormick, Randy Smith, Roger Smith, Patricia Strunk, Eileen Long, and Renee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Pearl (Millis) McCormick; brothers, Dale Pierce and Earl Kelly, Jr.; and a nephew, Robert Pierce.

Jonathan was born April 20, 1966 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Prairie Valley High School in Gowrie in 1984. He served in the United States Army and after his honorable discharge he took some mechanic courses. Jonathan served his community as a firefighter and EMT for Duncombe and then Callender retiring in 2021. Jonathan enjoyed racing and shared that passion with his brother.
