Joshua Ray Eger

Josh R. Eger, 31, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM all at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Survivors include mother Stacey Eger of Humboldt, father Dale Nehman of Fort Dodge, brother Jake Eger of Thor, Harold Powell of Fort Dodge, Brody Ferry of Humboldt, sister Gracie Ferry of Humboldt, and numerous great aunts and uncles, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded by his grandmother Mary Catherine McGough, grandfather Delmer Nehman, grandmother Deborah Eger, uncle Steve Eger and his cousin Nora Vinsand.

Joshua Ray Eger was born on July 21, 1992, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated here attending Fort Dodge Senior High School. Following his education, he went to be a carpenter with his brother Jake in construction. Josh was an avid runner, enjoyed exercising, being outdoors, and making people smile. He had a heart of gold, and he was always trying to take care of others and thinking of others. No matter what happened throughout his life Josh always kept his smile. Josh loved his family very much and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
