Judith Hamburger

Judith K. Hamburger, 78, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Judith is survived by her sons Marty (Amanda) of Decatur, GA, Jason (Keena) of Otho, and Matt (Dusti) of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ellis, Reese, Jessica, Jay, Jacob, Cody, Caylee, Melissa, Jessi, great-grandchildren, Asher, Maise, Arlo, sisters Beverly Duarte of Fort Dodge, Mary Sorenson of Renwick, and Linda Kaufman of Gilmore City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Geneva (Fox) Martin, sisters Betty Engelbi and Janet Landoldt. Judith Kay Martin was born October 12. 1943 in Livermore, Iowa. She graduated from Twin Rivers High School and then attended Iowa Central Community College. She received her Nursing Degree and was employed with the Villa, Friendship Haven, and then Trinity Regional Medical Center. She obtained her BSN all while working and later taught nursing at ICCC. For over 30 years she shared her life with her companion Virgil McLain. The couple loved to travel. Judy cherished time spent with family always, but Judith especially loved her grandchildren.
