Julie (Bittner) Hrdlicka, 54, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. The Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a vigil at 7:30 Tuesday at the funeral home. Julie is survived by her husband Jerry; daughter Megan; sister Kris and family, Tim, Shelby and Keaton Burns; aunt Marlene and husband, Art King; siblings Jodi, Kerry, Jamie, John and their families, and many important cousins, including Craig, Sue, Kelly, John, Mary, Shan, Shawn and their families. Julie was preceded in death by her special grandparents, John and Agnes Bittner; father, Jack Bittner, and an uncle Frank Bittner. Julie Ann Bittner was born November 9, 1958 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from F.D.S.H. As a child, Julie was fortunate to grow up working around horses at the Bittner Riding Academy. She also attended Iowa Central Community College where she received her associates degree. She spent the majority of her working years as a State Farm Licensed Insurance Representative. As a 40 plus year patient of Mayo Clinic, Julie was a class act in bearing the cross of medical challenges she faced and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a firm believer in "Faith, Family and Friends". Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family and will fund future medical research.
