Julie K. Davis, 63, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday June 20, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Callender. Burial will follow at Callender Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Julie is survived by her husband Kevin; sons, Gregory of Kansas City, KS, and Kyle of Ankeny; sister Barbara “Jeanie” (Larry) Stout of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Mark Hanson of Callender and Marty Hanson of Gowrie; brother-in-law, Dennis (Sharon) Davis of Maine; and nieces and nephews, Olivia Hanson, Jenna Hanson Nate Freeman, Nicole and Chelsie Davis.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Vivian (Lowry) Hanson.
Juile Kay Hanson was born on July 17, 1960, to Dale and Vivian Hanson in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Gowrie, graduating from Prairie Valley High School in 1978. After high school she continued her education at Iowa Central Community College. On April 20, 1990, she was united in marriage to Kevin Davis at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Julie worked for the Fort Dodge Labs for 35 years before retiring earlier this year. She was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Callender. She enjoyed crafting, sewing small dolls and puppets, and making cards. Julie was a very selfless person; she would often make things and donate to people in need, recently making a beautiful mobile for another member of the church. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
