Katherine Deloris Clark

Katherine Clark, 63, of Fort Dodge Iowa passed away Wednesday May 31, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday June 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Katherine was born May 28, 1960, in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Richard L. Bender and Louise N. Bender. She spent her early life in Laurel, Mississippi where she attended R H Watkins High School. Katherine later completed her education at job corps in Denison, Iowa. Though she had many jobs, daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, and a friend. The job that brought her the most joy was Nestle Purina (Friskies), where she was employed 22 years before retirement in 2018. Some of her hobbies included reading, cooking, gardening, listening to music, and spending time with family. Katherine leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband, Tom Clark, mother Louise Bender of Laurel, MS, daughters Latonya Bender of Laurel, MS, Jonetta Clark (Nikya, Jebreauna, Ayrianna, Dynasia), Tommie Jean Clark (Keshaud-Duke, Wen'nelle), Courtney Williams (Lilliauna, Lei'Azia), Tamara Knight (Pryshayn, Preston, Jazarra, JKorion), Diondra Clark (Damarious, Damariana, Janica, Gabrielle, Malachi), Sabrina Clark, Priscilla Clark, Tamaine Clark, Renita Clark, Jessica Smith (Daesha), Katrina Clayton, Jade Clayton, Destiny Clayton, sons Perry Bender (Derice, Jabariss, Pheazaun, Mykelah Tyriq, Perry Jr.), the late Wendel Clark (WenTasha, Whitney,Hailey,Tarissa, Tayven , Chanelle, Avarian,Reina, Jaylea, Nayeli, Armondez , Wendel Jr.) Glendel Clark (Alizeah, Zalilah, Araiya, Damari, Tyriesha, Acelyn, Adrik, Jackson), Trevor Clark (Amariauna, Zella, Kaden, Chariah, Adaline, Lyfe), Sterling Clark (Latrell, Joezy, A'Leelah), Thomas Lee Clark, Thomas Edward Clark (Nick and Nyaria), Mandel Clark, Lamar Gully, Thomas Lamont Davis, Derek Thompson, Jaheim Clayton, Orlando Love, and Marshall Wheat, other great-grandchildren Kiyalani, Koretez, Zaniyah, Yareli, Kora, Hailey Hoyer Clark, sister Liz Woullard, brother Richard Bender Jr., numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncles, and friends. Katherine is preceded in death by her father Richard L. Bender, sons Antonio E. Clark, Creighton Clark, Wendel Clark, grandson Edward Brown, daughter Lariena Clark, brothers Charlie Bender, Timothy Bender, brother-in-law Rufus B. Clark and mother-in-law Mary Alice Trotter-Clark.
