Gowrie- Kathy K. Lizer, 64 passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, October 5, 2018 at United Methodist Church, Gowrie with Pastor Susan Rohden and Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Gowrie Township Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:30 to 7:30 pm Thursday, October 4, 2018 at United Methodist Church, Gowrie. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements. Kathy is survived by her father, John F. Lizer of Gowrie; brothers, John M. (Alyce) Lizer of Fort Dodge, Joel (Sheilah) Lizer of Des Moines, sister, Mary (Jeff) Patterson of Lohrville; nephews and nieces, Tyler (Samantha) Lizer, Lindsey (Eric) Osorio, Jennifer (Adam) Ganeff, Jade (Tyler) Lutyens, Joelle Lizer, Jay (Lexi) Lizer; great nieces and nephews, Addison, Ava, Brentley, Dakota, Aubree, Esley, and Ella. She was preceded in death by her mother, LaVola Lizer. Kathy Lizer was born April 5, 1954 in Fort Dodge and graduated from Prairie Community High School in 1972. She attended Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge and DMACC, Boone. She worked in and around hospitals, care centers, and clinics all her life. Kathy loved animals especially her horse, Simone; dog, Ringo; and cat, Dusty. She loved visiting with family and friends. Kathy was a member of United Methodist Church, Stephen Ministry, and Iowa Walk to Emmaus. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
