Kelly E. Sorensen Bodady

Kelly E. Sorensen Bodady, 54, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at New Covenant Christian Church with Pastor Michael Carmody, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Arvin Sorensen of Humboldt; daughter, Latoya Petree of Canton, MI; son, Reno Desmute Bodady of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Jala, Laysha, Mahrianna, Jovani; her mother and father, Dorothy and Allen Bodady of Fort Dodge; sister, Marjorie Huyn of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Charis Bodady of Fort Dodge; brother, Charles Bodady of Elkhorn, NE. Kelly Elizabeth Sorensen Bodady was born on February 13, 1963, in Fort Dodge. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Long Beach, California. She returned to Fort Dodge in 1986. Kelly was united in marriage to Arvin Sorensen in the summer of 1999. She worked at Silgan for over 15 years. Kelly attended and graduated from I.C.C.C Medical Assistant Program and went to work at Dr. Birkett's office and also the Community Health Center. She had been most recently employed at Menards. Kelly was the "Rock" to her family whom she loved. She will be deeply missed. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
