Kenneth J. Cerwick Jr, 86 of Fort Dodge, IA passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 peacefully at his home. A mass to celebrate his life will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 2220 4th Ave North Fort Dodge, IA on February 16, 2021 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Masks are required as well as social distancing. The services will be livestreamed from the Laufersweiler Funeral Home Facebook page and afterward there will be a link uploaded to view the services available at www.laufersweilerfuneralhome.com Kenneth (Ken) is survived by his wife Leona (Lee) Cerwick of Fort Dodge, His children, Cheri Cerwick of Fort Dodge, Jim Cerwick of Des Moines, Rick (Julie) Cerwick of Des Moines, Cindy (Gary) Doss of Johnstown, CO, Terry (Shelly) Cerwick of Chesapeake, VA, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and his brother John Cerwick of Prior Lake, MN. He was preceded in death by his Father, Kenneth J Cerwick Sr, his mother Arleta (Bakken) Cerwick, his brothers Donald Cerwick, James Cerwick, infant daughter Theresa Marie Cerwick, and grandson Shawn Crimmins. Kenneth Joseph Cerwick (Jr.), the oldest of 4 siblings was born November 19, 1934 in Fort Dodge, IA. He graduated from Fort Dodge Sr High Class of 53. He was united in marriage to Leona Wingert on February 5, 1955. Kenneth joined the US Army and served in Korea from 1955 -1957. Ken was an accountant at Gus Glaser Meats and Gus Glaser Credit Union. He was co-owner/operator of Diversified Industries prior to retirement. Ken was known for his friendly demeanor and being a people person. He was a member of the American Legion Post 130, and attended The Holy Trinity Catholic Church. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, fastpitch softball, bowling, golf, and landscaping. His primary residence was Fort Dodge, and in retirement he and his wife Lee enjoyed winters in Arizona. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
