Jolley Kenneth J. Heim 71, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Stewart Memorial Hospital, Lake City. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Augustana Lutheran Church, Manson, with Pastor Peter Rosenqvist officiating. Burial of Casket will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell City. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Ken is survived by his daughters, Holly (Aaron) Wuebker, and Chelsey Heim, all of Rockwell City; grandchildren, Kenley, Landrey, Auden, and Wylbert Wuebker; brother Steve (Sandy) Heim of Piedmont, OK; sisters-in-law, Kim (Rick) Bengtson of Boxholm, and Mary Katherine (Mark) Boehm of Boone; brother-in-law Kris Groff of Mapleton; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Kellie; his parents, Dale and Alice (Bangtson) Heim; sister Cynthia Casey; niece Jenny Hepp; and father and mother-in-law, Claison and Mary Lou Groff. Kenneth John Heim was born June 25, 1951 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Manson High School with the Class of 1969. He attended Grandview College and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Following his education Ken worked as an assistant manager for Earl May in Des Moines. On August 27, 1983, he was united in marriage to Kellie A. Groff and the couple made their home in Des Moines. In 1986, they established their home on a farm near Jolley. Ken farmed with his father Dale and later worked for Woodruff Construction until his retirement in 2016. During his retirement years, Ken worked parttime for Oberg Freight in Fort Dodge and helped longtime friend Brian Betten farm. Kellie passed away in 2015. Ken was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoyed camping, and spending time with his family.
