Kevin graduated from Mankato State University (Mankato, Minnesota) with a degree in Business Administration. He attended Iowa Central Community College (Fort Dodge, Iowa) where he earned an Associate of Arts. Kevin served in the U.S. Army from November 1971 to October 1973. Kevin was employed with Amoco Oil Company's fertilizer and propane gas division from 1978 to 1984; he served as the Safety Director, Operations Manager and Dispatch and Office Manager during his employment with Mickey's Express, Inc. Kevin was an avid reader who still enjoyed gathering facts from a newspaper. He was always looking for the next good book to read. Kevin was a strong supporter of Veteran's organizations that supported not only those in service but more importantly those returning from conflicts. Over the years he supported a local children's Day Care Center with Halloween treats and the HO, HO of being their Santa. Whenever he could, he spent time in his garage working on a project or just engaging in garage logic which included a round (or several rounds) of cheer. Kevin was strong minded and strong willed - he mustered courage from the good things in life, finding solace in stimulating conversation and good friends. He enjoyed the Irish saying, "May your home always be too small to hold all your friends." Kevin's life will be celebrated at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2022, 307 South 12th Street, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
