Kevin Miller

January 24, 1964 — November 28, 2023

Kevin Leroy Miller, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on November 28th, 2023. He was born to the late John and Virginia Miller on January 24th, 1964, in Fort Dodge, IA. Throughout his life, Kevin was a loving brother, devoted father, grandfather and cherished friend.

Kevin faced the unexpected loss of his son, Matthew Strayer (Miller), before his own passing, a sorrow that he carried with him. He was also predeceased by his parents, John and Virginia Miller, brother Billy Miller, sister Janice Miller and half-sister and half-brothers, Deloros, Richard, John, and Lesly Miller. Despite these profound losses, Kevin remained resilient and continued to embody strength and love in the face of adversity.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed assisting family members and friends with different types of "handy man" jobs. He also liked to go junk yard hopping to find car parts and sell them on eBay for some extra cash; most likely spending it all on Matthew and his stepson Cody at the time, demonstrating dedication and commitment to provide as much as he could as a Father. Kevin was known for his knowledge of computers and gaming systems, so it brought him joy ensuring his kids had the most up to date gaming system to enjoy. I think all of us who were close to him can all share the love of video games because of Uncle Kevin.

Those who knew Kevin will remember him for his long list of "did you know" facts on pop culture and current events, go around Fort Dodge and "shag the drag" in one of his Ford Fiestas, building some sort of computer or gaming system or selflessly supporting his mother and family. He had a contagious sense of humor, a kind heart, and a generosity that knew no bounds. Kevin touched the lives of many and leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

Kevin will be deeply missed by his loving domestic partner, Corrine Bunting, and her kids Cody (Tabby) Bunting and Ashley Bunting. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters; Robert "Bob" Miller, Donna Nash, Theresa (Dan) Spangler, Melissa Farhat his half-brother Chuck (Sharon) Meyers, Elmer (Gwen) Miller, Linda (Roy) Green and Steven Meyers. His stepson Cody Strayer, granddaughter Athena, as well as by his nieces and nephews; Heather Miller, Beth Peterson, Tara Anderson, Sara Lee, Jamie Nash, Jacob Miller, Brandon Farhat, Jesse Farhat, Anthony Miller, Austin Lee and numerous other family members, friends, and acquaintances.

Kevin's spirit and the impact he made on those around him will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

"In remembrance of those we've lost, may their legacy continue to inspire and guide us."
