Kevin Porter, 59, of Fort Dodge passed away, Saturday, August 12, 2017. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. He is survived by his siblings, Jerrilyn Brown and her husband Tom of Colorado Springs, CO; Debbie Dressen and her husband Greg of Twin Lakes; Bruce Porter and Mike Julius of Twin Lakes; Lynette Kobs and her husband Andrew of Lawrenceburg, IN; Michelle Peterson and her husband John of Le Mars; Marcia Sundberg and her husband David of Clarksville, TN; 12 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Marilyn Porter. Kevin Joseph Porter was born on April 10, 1958, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here. He made his home in Fort Dodge. Kevin was able to fix anything, especially electronics. He had a best friend and companion in his dog "Rascal". Kevin loved his family and had a very strong faith in God. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
