Kristy S. Smith, 54, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, February 6th at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday February 10th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Carmody officiating. Burial will follow at Otho Cemetery. Survivors include her children with Christopher Rosburg - daughter Angela Rosburg of Clarion, son Kyle Rosburg of Fort Dodge, daughter Annabel Rosburg of Janesville, WI, her children with Dave Kayser - sons Seth Kayser of Lehigh, Michael and David Kayser both of Fort Dodge, father Merle Smith of Fort Dodge, sister Heather Smith Fellers of Fort Dodge, uncle Herbert Krout and her aunt Karrey Janvrin Lindeburg, nieces Lacey Smith of Des Moines, Araya Hope Fellers of Fort Dodge, nephew Jacob Smith of Des Moines, boyfriend Billy Bass of Fort Dodge, lifelong family friend Andy Garst of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her mother Lorrie Smith, grandparents Clare and LaDonna Smith and James and Dorothy Janvrin. Kristy Sue Smith was born on May 14, 1966 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1984 where she excelled at piano, ballerina dance, and cheer. Kristy was an outgoing, intelligent, and loving person. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, and was wiz at trivia. Kristy loved to spend time with her dog "Buddy Love". She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
