Lance Sortedahl

Lance C. Sortedahl, 77, of Fort Dodge formerly of Omaha passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at his home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Lance is survived by his sons, Chris (Monica) Sortedahl and Clint (Lisa) Sortedahl; grandchildren, Alex Sortedahl of Fort Dodge, Jessica Goebel and Katelynn Anderson of Williamsburg, KS, Colton Sortedahl, Clay Sortedahl, and Ava Sortedahl all of Fort Dodge, 7 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lana Tanner (Brooke) of Atlantic and Sandy Smith of Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Theo Ann (Jensen) Sortedahl. and his adopted sister Judy Louise Sortedahl Musfeldt. Lance Christian Sortedahl was born November 24, 1942 in Audubon, IA. He graduated Audubon High School. In 1965, he married Diane Lundgren and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. He worked for Hormel Foods. The couple later divorced, and he moved to Omaha. He worked for Hawkins Construction for a time and then moved back to Fort Dodge. Lance enjoyed spending time outdoors, his dog, Fritz and hanging out with his grandchildren. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
