Larry G. Crouse, 72, of Lehigh, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Monday, October 17th in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Holaday Creek Cemetery, Fort Dodge. A visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those thankful for having shared in Larry's life include his brother Kenneth Crouse of Lehigh, sisters-in-law Carol Crouse and Bev Holweg both of Fort Dodge, stepsister Gloria Seaver, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews and friends all over the country. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Arlene (Welfare) Crouse, stepfather Robert Seaver, sister Joyce Rork and brother-in-law Roy Rork, brothers Dennis, Donald, Robert, and Richard, stepsister Roberta Hart, and stepbrother Dr, Wesley Seaver, several aunts, and uncles. Larry Gene Crouse was born September 12, 1950, in Bancroft. He was raised in Kalo and Otho and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1968 and then Iowa Central Community College in 1970. Larry worked for Gibbs-Cook, which was later bought by Ziegler Cat for 36 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Larry along with his brother Kenny had a mutual hobby of making duck, goose, and turkey calls (Crouse Brothers Calls) at their shop in rural Lehigh. He enjoyed teaching young kids how to make the calls sing. He also enjoyed smoking meat in a smoker that he, his brother Kenny and Bobby Klein built from scrap metal. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
