Larry is servived by his wife Donella; son Daniel (Ashleah) Dumdei of Des Moines; 6 grandchildren, Makayla, Kaleb, Carter, Corbin, Cooper, and Campbell; sisters, Cindy Ford of Carroll, and Debbie Perepeluk of Lake City; faithful friend and dog, Wilson; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Dumdei; and parents, Lawrence and Opal (Armstrong) Dumdei.

Larry Gene Dumdei was born July 2, 1947 at Hampton, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Lake City where he graduated from Lake City High School, with the Class of 1965. In 1966, he was united in marriage to Donella Henry and the couple established their home in Rockwell City. Larry drove truck for most of his life until his retirement.
