Twin Lakes Larry M. Koos 80, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at Evangelical Covenant Church, near Pomeroy, with Pastor Marv Norlien and Pastor Linda Norlien officiating. Visitation and viewing will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Larry is survived by his wife Betty; son Jeffery Koos of Spirit Lake; grandson Brayde Koos of Fort Dodge; brothers, Wayne (Norma) Koos of Boone, and Ward (Connie) Koos of Walnut; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvy and Margaret (Albers) Koos. Larry Marion Koos was born February 20, 1939 at Harlan, Iowa. He graduated from Walnut High School, with the Class of 1957. Larry received his bachelors degree in Agriculture and Farm Management from Iowa State University. He also served in the United States Army Reserve for several years. Following his education, Larry worked at Doane Agricultural Service in Webster City and then opened a Doane office in Rockwell City. Larry later established Koos Agricultural Service in Rockwell City until his retirement in December of 2018. On August 20, 1977 he was united in marriage to Betty Bringle at Las Vegas. The couple made their home at Twin Lakes. Larry was an active member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Rockwell City Lions Club, and a past board member of the Twin Lakes Water & Sewer Department.
