Lathelle C. Strandberg

Rockwell City Lathelle "Luddie" C. Strandberg 84, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Accura HealthCare of Pomeroy. Her wishes were to have no local services. Her children are having a private scattering of her ashes in California. Burial of a portion of her ashes will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Lathelle Colleen Alsop Strandberg was born August 17, 1934 at Rockwell City, Iowa. She graduated from Rockwell City High School, with the Class of 1952. Lathelle was united in marriage to Roy Strandberg and the couple made their home in California. Lathelle returned to Rockwell City where she was a homemaker for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Strandberg Hedman; her parents, Charles "Chub" and Louisa (Williams) Alsop; and a sister Adelle Meusburger. Lathelle is survived by her daughters, Judy Hill of Phoenix, AZ, and Nora Matteo of Steamboat Springs, CO; sons, John Strandberg of Windsor, CA, and Rohn Strandberg of Tracy, CA; three grandchildren, Sarah Strandberg, TJ Matteo, and Katie Anthony; and sisters, Mardelle Rotert of Pocahontas, and Leslie Holstad of Iowa City; and other relatives and friends.
