Lauralee Rose Bernau

Gowrie- Lauralee Rose Bernau, infant daughter of Tony and Caitlin Bernau, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 1, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 6 at Prairie Lakes Church in Fort Dodge with Pastor Kyle Dana officiating. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements. Lauralee is survived by her parents; siblings, Jameson, Annalee, Mikaylee, and Leslee; grandparents, Bruce and Lori Long, Melinda Dewsnup, and Vern and Alice Nagel; great-grandma, Cheri Eslick; aunts and uncles, Cheyenne (Tony) Burns, Michael (Sarah) Eslick, and Ashley Bechtold; and numerous cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her great-grandpa, Jim Eslick and great-grandma, Esther Long. Lauralee Rose Bernau was born September 23, 2020. Lauralee had a smile that would light up the room. Her sweet laugh could make the worst days better. She was such a blessing and a ray of light to everyone who knew her. She brought so much joy to the lives of all the people who loved her. She adored her "bubby" and big sisters. She spent every Sunday morning greeting people who came to PLC with a big smile and a sweet disposition. She touched so many people in her short life, and she will be so deeply missed by her family, church family, and friends. Her absence has left a gaping hole in the lives and hearts of her loved ones, but they are trying to find peace in knowing shes Home with her Heavenly Father, Papa Jim, and Grandma Esther. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be left to family discretion.
