Rockwell City Lawrence "Larry" D. Pitstick 83, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Sunny Knoll Care Centre, Rockwell City. Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell City, with Fr. Brian Feller officiating. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Larry is survived by his children, Melody Collins of Rockwell City, Madonna Merritt of San Antonio, Texas, Matthew (Emma) Pitstick of Burlington, Melinda (Richard) Shinn of Rockwell City, and Marcy (Greg) Magott of Olathe, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister JoAnn Hendricks of Rockwell City; sister-in-law Mary Lee Pitstick of Illinois; and other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Catherine (Moore) Pitstick; brother Richard Pitstick; and brother-in-law Ronald Hendricks. Lawrence Dean Pitstick was born September 25, 1940 in Iowa. He graduated from Rockwell City High School, with the Class of 1959. On October 23, 1961 he was united in marriage to Myrna Rafferty at Rockwell City and five children were born to this union. Larry farmed for most of his life and also worked at the ASCS Office in Rockwell City for several years. Larry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved ice cream and Elvis Presley. "You need to have a little bit of fun every day!"
