Farnhamville - Leslie E. Larson 94, passed away December 6, 2018 at the Calvin Community Care Center, Des Moines. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Gowrie Township Cemetery, Gowrie. Family and friends are invited for lunch at Rudy's Restaurant in Farnhamville immediately following the graveside service. Memorials may be left to the First United Church, or to American Legion Post #510 of Farnhamville. Leslie E. Larson was born May 27, 1924 at Lake City, Iowa. Following High School, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. Leslie managed a lumber yard in Farnhamville for many years until his retirment in 1989. He was a proud 72-year member of the American Legion Post #510 of Farnhamville. Leslie is survived by his son Hal (Terri) Larson; grandson Scott Larson; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Alice Larson; brothers, Art, Alex, Ed, and Leonard Larson; and sister Emma Board. Leslie gifted his body to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine program for educational purposes.
