Lester Jones Jr.

Lester Jones, Jr., 65, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Oleson Park. Lester Jones Jr. is survived by his children, daughters Aneesha and Ebony, and son Aaron Jones. His siblings Annie Terri Storey and Dorthy Mosley of Fort Dodge IA, Annie Ruth Pope (George) of Des Moines IA, and brother Robert Jones of Houston TX. He leaves to cherish his significant other Shelly Isebrand. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester Jones Sr. and Fanny Mae Jones; sisters Gayle Andrews, Donna Mosley, and daughter Latoya Jones. Lester was born in Fort Dodge, IA on April 16th, 1956 and attended elementary through Fort Dodge Senior High. Lester was employed with US Gypsum plant and Asphalt Construction. He always had an open heart and all who were lucky enough to spend time with Lester Jr.(AKA "Strang"), will have fond memories. His laughter was infectious and will be forever missed by all who loved him. Lester has a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins who will love him eternally.
