Lily Andrews-Raymond

Lily Jean Andrews Raymond, 63, of Evanston, Iowa passed away Sunday June 13, 2021 at the Paula J. Barber Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life was held June 17, 2021 at the Lehigh Community Center. Lily Jean Mauch was born December 6, 1957 to Orvel and Bessie (McBride) Mauch and she attended school in Fort Dodge. Later she obtained her GED with her daughter at the same time at Iowa Central Community College. She was united in marriage to Randall Andrews Sr. on June 7, 1975 and from the union two children were born. Randall Jr. and Tammy. Randy passed away at the young age of 29 on May 13, 1987. Later Lily got involved with Michael Raymond and they were common law married for many years and then married in April of 2012. With this marriage came three more children that she loved like her own Barry, Tami, and Jami. Lily lived most of her life in Evanston and loved the outdoors. She loved to plant flowers, ride horses, fishing, watching the birds come to her feeders, and watching the bald eagles. Her grandchildren were her joy and she loved watching them whenever she could and her health allowed it. She previously worked at Becker Florist, Eddy's Greenhouse, Hawkeye Glove, Mary Ann's Custom Meats, and Van Diest Supply Company where she later retired from due to Cancer. She battled Cancer 4 times (breast cancer x 2 and lung cancer x 2) before losing her fight. She was curagious and strong, a true fighter. She was preceded in death by her husband Randall Andrews Sr.(1987), Bessie Marie McBride Mauch(1989), Orvel Alvin Mauch(2005), brother Baby O.(1954), brother Orvel Mauch Jr.(2001), and sister Beverly Everhart(2018). She is survived by her husband, Michael Raymond; children Randall Andrews Jr. (Julie) grandchildren Randall III, Reed, and Christopher; Tammy Andrews Sestak (Josh) grandchildren Anthony (1 great grandchild) Austin (Sierra) , Elenore, and Thain; Barry Raymond (Kim) children Dakota (2 great grandchildren); Tami Raymond Swanson (Israel) children Miranda, Cameron, and Mylee; Jamison Raymond (Heidi) children Kirsten, Hunter, and Shelbi. Siblings Martha Wagner (Kent), Sally Andrews (David), Annette Andrews and many nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest in the Lehigh Cemetery at 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021 with family at the graveside. Memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
