Linda L. Olsen

Linda L. “Nanny” Olsen, 76, of Rockwell City passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. A visitation will be 5:00 to 7:30 PM Tuesday at Laufersweiler’s Palmer- Swank Funeral Home in Rockwell City.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Keith) Kraft; grandchildren, Kanne (Kara) Kraft and Kwinn Kraft; great-grandchildren, Kamzie Kraft, Kayna Kraft, and Kemrie Kraft all of Rockwell City; brother-in-law, Richard (Jill) Olsen of St. Charles, IL; aunt, Janice Schofield of Odebolt; cousin, Debbie Dettman of Ankeny; and special friend, Doris Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lavon (Schofield) Arends-Weiss; husband, Robert Olsen in 2017; grandparents, Fred and Bertha Schofield and Lou and Etta Arends.

Linda Lueta Arends was born August 15, 1947 in Sac City. She was raised in Sac City and graduated from Sac City High School in 1965. She was united in marriage to Don Cassidy in 1967 and from this union their daughter Kelly was born. The couple later divorced. On December 31, 1985, she was united in marriage to Robert Olsen in Las Vegas. The couple made their home in Rockwell City. Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed watching her grandchildren. She was everyone’s “Nanny” and the kindest person you would ever meet. She loved riding around town and kept an immaculate home with everything just in the right spot. She spent time watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
