Linda Marie Detmering

Linda M. Detmering, 77, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Marian Home. Services are pending with Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, March 7, 2022 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Linda is survived by her children Dennis(Karla) Detmering of Fort Dodge and Curtis (Angie) Detmering of Indianola, grandsons, Alec, Cole, Clay, and Mason, siblings Jackie Schulze of Humboldt, Margaret Ann (Skip) Hubrich of Humboldt, Marian (Dennis) Bird of Fort Dodge and Max (Sally) Redenius of Gilmore City, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, parents Lawrence and Margaret (Walther) Redenius, grandson Ryan, infant sister Shelly, brother Thomas Redenius, sisters-in-law Patricia Redenius and Cindy Redenius, brother-in-law Vernon Schulze. Linda Marie Redenius was born June 17, 1944 in Lake City. As a young child she moved with her family to Humboldt. She graduated from Humboldt High School. On October 3, 1964 she was united in marriage to Fred Detmering. While Fred was in the military, the couple traveled all around the world. In 1980, they settled in Fort Dodge to raise their family. Linda was a homemaker that took care of her children and husband for many years. She was a longtime advocate of a brain injury support group. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. Family was above everything else. She loved spending time with them and her siblings. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
