Linda P. Peterson

Rockwell City Linda P. Peterson 74, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Rockwell City, with Fr. Lynn Bruch officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial of casket will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Pomeroy. A Come and Go Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City. Social distancing and masks are required. Memorials may be left to the St. Francis Altar Society, Rockwell City Fire Dept., or the Calhoun Co. Food Pantry. The Funeral Service will be Live Streamed through Palmer & Swank Funeral Home Facebook Page. Linda is survived by her children, Lynette (Dave) Jacoby of Coralville, and Tom (Lisa) Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD; 5 grandchildren, Ellie and Anna Jacoby, Jeremy (Brittany), Cameron (Britta), Brooklyn Peterson; sisters-in-law, Juanita Hammen and Elaine Ridgely; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Eunice (Chase) Hammen; brothers, James, Joseph, Jerald, and Lawrence Hammen; and sisters-in-law, Karen and Marilyn Hammen. Linda P. Hammen was born May 28, 1946 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised in Jolley and graduated from Pomeroy High School, with the Class of 1964. Following her education Linda worked as a telephone operator. Throughout the years, she also worked at the Calhoun Co. Reminder, the Lunchbox, Jots Caf, and Caseys for 15 years. Family, friends and faith were most important to Linda. She loved spending time with her grandchildren especially playing board games. She found great joy attending many Church dinners, soup suppers, and community breakfasts with friends. She was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church, and Altar Society. The Family would like to extend thanks to Lindas healthcare team at Trinity Regional Medical Center, McFarland Cancer Center, and McCrary- Rost. Special thanks to Doris Hunt for her care and support.
