Lloyda Warehime

Lloyda D. Warehime,74, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sunday, May 20th, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10:30 AM till 1:30 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Jerry of Fort Dodge; sons, Todd Wendell and his wife, Mary Jane of Ogden; Dean Wendell and his wife, Lisa of Johnston; 2 step children, Wade Warehime and Wendy Warehime both of the Slifer area; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Whitney, Alex, and Sam; 5 sisters, Gloria Streff and her husband Jack; Lettie Nissen and her husband Ron; Debbie Orozco and her husband Joe; Julie Lumsden all of Fort Dodge; Kathy Wilson and her husband, David of Johnston; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Betty Dean (Ishmael) Lumsden. Lloyda Dean Lumsden was born on January 29, 1944, in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1962. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Pat Wendell and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. The couple were later divorced. Lloyda went to work at Trinity Regional Medical Center in the Radiology and X-ray Department. She spent 42 years there and was eventually in the EKG Stress Test Department until her retirement. In August of 1990, she was united in marriage to Jerry Warehime and the couple made their home a farm near Fort Dodge. She enjoyed yard work, feeding the birds, caring for her dogs and geese on the farm. Lloyda loved to spend time with her family, especially Sunday family suppers.
