Lori Cook

Lori I. Cook, 62, of Moorland peacefully entered into God's heavenly home Monday November 28, 2022, at her home. Visitation will be 1:00 to 4:00p.m. Sunday December 4, 2022, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home, with an additional prayer service starting at 4:00 p.m. Lori is survived by her husband Larry, son Toby (Amber) Anderson, grandchildren Cody, Alexis, McKenna, and great-granddaughter Romee all of Hampton, Iowa. She is also survived by her brother Rodney Hill of Greenville, IL, sister Lisa Runnells (Kevin) of Fort Dodge and nephews Austin and Dylan Runnells and several other nieces and nephews. As well as Leo Frennesy, her beloved foreign exchange student from Brazil whom she loved as a son. She is preceded in death by her parents Harlan and Karen (Bowman) Hill, and infant brother Terry, her in-laws Dale and Dorothy Cook, and sister-in-law Sherry Cook. Lori Irene Hill was born June 27, 1960, in Fort Dodge. She was a 1978 graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School. On October 14, 1983, Lori was united in marriage to Larry Cook and the couple made their home in the Fort Dodge area for the last 40 years, living on a farm outside Moorland for the last 23 years. Lori spent her career employed as Manager of Eye Mart Optical, at LifeServe, and Pearle Vision. Lori loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. Lori was an avid bowler in her younger years and it showed whenever she played. She enjoyed doing crafts and nurturing her creativity through decorating everything in her home and anything within arms reach. She loved spending time with Larry, they enjoyed going camping in Okoboji, taking motorcycle rides, and going to the races. Larry was the love of Lori's life. Lori will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
