Lorraine Della Mae Juilfs was born on July 27, 1931, in Pomeroy, IA to John and Irene Juilfs. She was raised and educated in Pomeroy, graduating from Pomeroy high school. Lorraine then attended Tobin Business School in Fort Dodge. On February 28, 1954, she was united in marriage to David Schrader and through this union, the couple had four daughters. Lorraine lived in Fort Dodge and worked for JCPenney’s for 40 years, retiring in 2005. She was a past member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church where she also made quilts. Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed making her special homemade noodles, pies and decorating Christmas cookies with all of her girls and grandchildren. Lorraine loved sewing clothing for the kids and for their dolls. She would often lay down on the floor and spend time coloring, reading or doing puzzles with them. Family celebrations were very important to her. She made each one specials with balloons and coordinating party decorations and made sure to have Watergate salad made with the fruity mini marshmallows. Lorraine enjoyed basketball watching the Chicago Bulls, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and March Madness. Now it’s her turn to have a grand celebration in Heaven.
