Louise Clearwater

Farnhamville Louise Clearwater 90, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Shady Oaks Care Center, Lake City. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at First United Church, Farnhamville, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be at Reading Township Cemetery, Farnhamville. A luncheon will be served at the Landus Cooperative Community Room, Farnhamville following the Committal Service at the cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family. Louise is survived by her sons, Tim (Debbie) Clearwater of Grand Junction, CO, Darwin Clearwater of Sioux City, Robert (Cristy) Clearwater of Agate, CO, and her daughters, Bonnie and Larry Linneman of Reynolds, ND, and Debra Towle of Gowrie; grandchildren, Adam Towle, Nick Clearwater, Kiel (Kamera) Clearwater, Tony Mazzola, Kevin Mazzola, Staci (Joe) Siemers, Cody Clearwater, and Casey Clearwater; great-grandchildren, Julee Clearwater, Cooper Clearwater, Quinlynn Towle, Holden Siemers, Jett Siemers, Tenley Siemers, and Dominic Mazzola; brothers, Don (Sharon) Smith, John (Chris) Smith; and sister Dorothy Pigman. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Clearwater; and her son Duane Clearwater. Louise Smith was born in Barnum, Iowa on June 30,1931 to Earl and Gladys (Julius) Smith. On January 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Bruce Werner Clearwater at the Calvary Presbyterian Church near Barnum. The couple were married for sixty years until Bruces passing in 2011. They resided in Farnhamville and raised six children. Louise will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed nothing more than to have all the family home, sitting around the kitchen table enjoying her fine home cooked meals, and laughing and playing games. She was a warm, kind, loving person, described perfectly by her sister-in-law, Chris Smith, as "a little angel". She will be greatly missed.
