Lucille Marie Donahoe

Lucille M. Donahoe, 100, of Fort Dodge, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Thomas Donahoe presiding and Msgr. Kevin McCoy, Rev. James McAlpin and Msgr. Mervin Hood con-celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Lucille is survived by her brother, Msgr. Thomas Donahoe of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mayme (Jensen) Donahoe; brothers, Charles and James Donahoe. Lucille Marie Donahoe was born June 22, 1914 in Clare and moved at an early age with her parents to Fort Dodge. She attended Corpus Christi Academy and went to Fort Dodge Tobin Business College. In 1934, Lucille was employed by the Old Age Assistance Commission in Des Moines. She started working for Dial Financial, now known as Wells Fargo Financial, in 1946. Lucille also was the senior assistant manager of the Mail Loan Division and worked in the Des Moines, Omaha, and Denver offices. She retired in 1979 at which time Lucille returned to Fort Dodge. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Catholic Daughters of America, Rosary Society, and Marian Home Auxiliary. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
