Lynn L. Ewoldt

Lynn L. Ewoldt, 67, of Barnum died Monday, April 6, 2020 at his home. Private family services are planned with Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Whittemore, IA. Lynn is survived by his siblings, Myrna (Gerry) Meyer of Rapid City, SD; Craig Ewoldt of Farnhamville; Janan (Mike) Gillis of Whittemore; Jim (Kathy) Ewoldt of Sioux City; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margaret (Lindhorst) Ewoldt; siblings, Loveda Barber; Lorna Christensen; Hank and Bob Ewoldt, two infant brothers Jerome and Rance. Lynn Leroy Ewoldt was born January 8, 1953 in Algona. When he was young his family moved to Whittemore where he attended Saint Paul Lutheran School. He graduated from Algona High School in 1971. Lynn lived across the Midwest and in California for a period of time. He called Whittemore, West Bend, Iowa City, Fort Dodge and eventually Barnum his home, where he has served on the city council for the past several years. He was an accomplished cook and baker. Lynn enjoyed gardening. He was an avid artist that created many paintings and several murals. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
