Madeline V. Doyle, 99, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Marian Home. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Madeline is survived by her children, Dr. Patrick and wife Dr. Delores Doyle of Murfreesboro, TN; Robert Doyle and wife Karen of Swisher; Larry Doyle and his wife Martha of Fort Dodge; Mary Jo and her husband Dr. Thomas Habermann of Rochester, MN; Thomas Doyle and his wife Kelly and Steven Doyle both of Fort Dodge; twenty grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Clara (Heying) Murphy; husband, John Doyle; and her brother, Patrick Murphy. Madeline V. Murphy was born on September 13, 1914 in Mitchell, South Dakota. She grew up in South Dakota where she attended college and taught school before she married John Doyle. The couple lived in both South Dakota and Iowa over the years, but had been residents of Fort Dodge since 1962. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. In younger days, she enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, and dancing.
