Marcquis Dewain Collier

Marcquis D. Collier, 19, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Calvary Memorial Church of God In Christ, with Rev. LeRoy Johnson. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Marcquis is survived by his grandparents and guardians, Curtis and Juanita Bell of Fort Dodge; mother, Brenda Bell of Des Moines; father, Mark Collier of Des Moines; grandmother, Jackie Collier of Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Jamel Cox of Fort Dodge; Marquez Collier of Des Moines; sisters, Vanita Daniels of Fort Dodge; MarcShay Collier of Des Moines; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Collier Sr. Marcquis D. Collier was born November 1, 1994 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Public Schools. He was employed as a janitor at Calvary Memorial Church of God in Christ and also at Becker Florist. Marcquis had a very outgoing personality. He was a fun and loving person. He enjoyed playing the drums in church on Sunday mornings. He enjoyed playing video games, fishing, and hanging out with his friends. He will be missed by many and his wonderful smile will never be forgotten. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
