Margaret Ellen Rodenborn

Margaret E. Rodenborn, 86, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then at 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy and Rev. Brian Danner con-celebrating. Burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Margaret is survived by her children, Peggy "Peg" (Dic) Fitzgerald of Manson; Sara (Tim) O'Leary of Fort Dodge; Katie (Carter) McKay of Apple Valley, MN; Peter "PJ" Rodenborn III of Fort Dodge; Matt Rodenborn of Raytown, MO; Paul Rodenborn of Fort Dodge; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Nolan of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Joseph Rodenborn Jr.; parents, Clement and Elaine (Murphy) Gadd. Margaret Ellen Gadd was born October 3, 1929 in Estherville and was raised there. Margaret was united in marriage to Peter Joseph Rodenborn on February 20, 1950 in Fort Dodge and established their home in Fort Dodge. She was a homemaker and volunteered in the gift shop at the Trinity Regional Hospital. She was an avid bridge player and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
