Marjorie "Marge" Brown

Brown, Marjorie "Marge" of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away on December 9, 2013. Marge was born on her family's farm in Badger, IA on May 19, 1926 to Oliver and Melinda Knudson. She was the youngest child of four and the only daughter. Marge was raised in both Badger and Ft. Dodge, IA. It was in Ft. Dodge where she met her husband, Joseph Brown, and gave birth to a daughter, Lou Rae. Marge and Joe were in the real estate and construction industries in Ft. Dodge, IA but found an opportunity that would take them out of the state. They moved to Fountain Hills, AZ in 1976 and completed several land development projects there. Real Estate was a passion of Marge's and kept her busy up until her final days. Marge was well known and loved by her community. She was an active member in her Catholic church, a member of Bridge club, a Lions' Club Lioness, Men's Club Wife, Charity worker, Community Volunteer and so much more. She was very intelligent and a savvy businesswoman. Every task she took on, she completed meticulously and with pride. Marge will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren, Stacy Rougemont and D.J. King, great-granddaughters, Lola, Sophia and Ava May Rougemont, son-in-law, David King, nephew Joe Brown, and family and friends of the community. Marge was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Brown, and daughter, Lou Rae King. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills. 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.
