Mark Andersen

Mark D. Andersen, 58, of Urbandale, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Deacon Dan Carney officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mark is survived by his wife, Belinda; step-son Lance (Jessica) Deal; brothers Rick and Todd (Lida) Andersen; brother and sister-in-laws, Ole and Lori Deal; Cindy (Mike) Kelly; Susan Nelson; Julie (Brad) Alexander; Mickey Deal; Melanie (Ben) Stanberg; Lynette Deal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Maxine (Johnson) Andersen; sister, Kim Westberg; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Nelson; Royal Westberg; and Mike Deal. Mark Dana Andersen was born December 18, 1955 in Fort Dodge. Mark was educated in the Humboldt School System. Following his education, he began working in the car business in the Fort Dodge area. Mark owned and operated Mark's Auto Mart for many years. In 1999, Mark and Belinda moved to the Des Moines area and established their home in Urbandale. He owned and operated World of Wheels and also was employed with Mecum Auctions until he became ill in August of 2014. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
