Mary A. Peterson

Gowrie Mary A. Peterson 97, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home. Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Gowrie Township Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. Noon Wednesday until service time at the Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Mary is survived by her son Dennis Peterson of Gowrie; great-grandchildren, Brady Peterson and Harper Peterson; and granddaughter-in-law Kelly Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Peterson; grandson Brad Peterson; and her parents, Sam and Ada (Blaser) Riedesel. Mary A. Riedesel was born July 6, 1924 at Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Paton High School and Drake University. Mary was united in marriage to Darrell Peterson on June 5, 1946, in Gowrie. Mary taught school for many years at Prairie Community Schools. She was a member of the First United Church in Farnhamville.
