Mary A. Loria, 83, of Fort Dodge, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her home and will be reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Carl. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 2:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary is survived by her sons, Carl (Chris) Loria of New Bedford, MA; John (Cindy) Loria of Tiverton, RI; Jim (Wendy) Loria of Sioux Falls, SD; Joseph (Susan) Loria of Lafayette, CA; Michael (Pat) Loria of Johnston, RI; Rick (Marylou) Martin of Eagan, MN; Thomas (Ellen) Loria of Milton, MA; daughters, Angela (Steve) Millet of North Dartmouth, MA; Vicki (Sam) Johnson of Badger; Patricia Leahy of North Dartmouth, MA; 29 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Jacobson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 2009; parents, Harold and Elma (Botkin) Sterns; and infant brother, Lyle. Mary Alice Sterns was born December 16, 1931 in Prescott. She attended and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1950. Following graduation, Mary went to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. She also worked for 35 years at Centralab in Fort Dodge and 17 years at Friendship Haven. Mary was united in marriage to Carl Loria on September 18, 1970. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and Jerry Patterson's Boaster Club. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
