Mary Lou Biggins

August 2, 1936 — October 29, 2024

Mary Lou, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of grace, resilience, and unwavering love. Born on April 2, 1936, in Paton, Iowa, to Arthur and Vienna Burger, Mary Lou spent her life embodying strength, beauty, and compassion.

Mary Lou was blessed with three daughters-Maria (Lee) Jones, Mary (Kimm) Inbody, and Michelle (Larry) Hedlund-whom she raised to be as strong and independent as she was, a source of great pride to her. She was also incredibly proud of her seven grandchildren: Nathaniel Ober, Justin Ober (Miranda), Kyle Egemo, Kristin Kotrous (Tyler), Kati Lemberg (Zach), Anthony Inbody (Lindsay), and Alex Inbody. Her legacy of love and resilience continues with her 15 great-grandchildren, each bringing her immense joy.

Known for her impeccable classy style, Mary Lou was always a fashion icon, decorating her life and her home with elegance and charm. She was a constant source of laughter and joy. She had a special gift for making everything fun, turning even the simplest moments into joyful and lasting memories.

Her faith was a guiding light, her optimism unwavering, and her commitment to living authentically truly inspiring. She never settled, remaining true to herself and her values. Mary Lou's presence was magnetic, her smile always radiant, and her spirit eternally beautiful.

More than anything, Mary Lou cared deeply for her family, serving as our biggest cheerleader and support. She leaves us with memories of her laughter, her wisdom, and her loving encouragement.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vienna; her infant son, Dennis; her sister, Carol; sister, Beverly; brother, Duane; and her beloved husbands William Lennon and Robert Biggins, Sr.

Mary Lou is also survived by her siblings Judy Peterson, Shirley Schultz, and Tom Burger, along with extended family who will cherish her memory.

In honor of Mary Lou's vibrant personality and her love for life, we invite friends and family to celebrate her life by wearing leopard print, gold, black, sequins, or glitter-anything that sparkles, just as she did.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
