Mary Catherine Howell

Mary Catherine McGough, 80, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then at 10:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. A visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, with a Prayer Vigil at 6:00 p.m. Survivors include children, Charles Hedlund; Larry Hedlund and his wife, Michele; Robin Nehman; Dale Nehman; Sunday Nehman; Dawn Nehman; Valerie Nehman; all of Fort Dodge; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Harold McGough; Leo McGough; sisters Pauline Donahoe; Marlene Ewing; and Ruth Vodraska. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary (McCreary) McGough; daughter, Maryann Nehman; grandsons, Chuck Jr. and Max Hedlund; and her sister, Evelyn McGough-Ayala. Mary Catherine McGough was born on February 21, 1937, in Fort Dodge. She attended school in Fort Dodge and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed horses and loved dancing to country western music. She especially loved her grandkids and extended family and enjoyed spending time with them. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
