Mary Guadeloupe Wood

Mary G. Wood, 68, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30th at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. and Vigil at 7:00 p.m. all at the funeral home. Survivors include her sons, Robert Guerra Jr. and Ricardo Guerra both of Fort Dodge; granddaughter, Alice Guerra of Fort Dodge; brothers, Mike Rosalez Jr. of Webster City; David Rosalez of Fort Dodge; Frank Rosalez of Callender; Louie Rosalez and Joe Rosalez both of Fort Dodge; and Ramon Rosalez of Deer Lodge, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Catalina (Morales) Rosalez, first husband, Roberto Guerra and second husband, Frank Wood. Mary Rosalez was born in September 28, 1945 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here. In 1963, she was united in marriage to Roberto Guerra and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Roberto passed away in 1993. Mary worked at various factory jobs in Chicago and Fort Dodge; including, AW Enterprise Box Company, Georgia Pacific and Hawkeye Glove Factory. She was united in marriage to Frank Wood in 1998. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Fort Dodge Senior Citizens, and the Eagles Auxiliary where she served as the Chaplain. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
