Michael Adams

Michael W. Adams, 54, of Moorland, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

His wishes were to be cremated and be buried next to his father at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, IA. 

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be on Saturday September 28 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Rides Banquet Center in Fort Dodge.

Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Survivors include his mother Susan Adams of Rockford, IA, brother Joe Adams of Nora Springs, IA, beloved friend Libby Brown of Fort Dodge, uncle Jeff Nordman and his wife Brenda of Charles City, IA, aunt Ruth Gilbert of Nora Springs, IA, and his cousin Dean Adams.

He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Adams in January of 2024, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Michael William Adams was born on January 19, 1970, in Charles City. He was raised and educated in Rockford, IA, and graduated from Rockford High School in 1988. Mike then attended and graduated from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge with an Associate of Arts Degree in Agronomy. For several years Mike worked as an agronomist at Farnhamville Coop. He then worked in telemarketing for a time and as a bartender at various places. Mike was most recently employed with the Wild Rose Casino & Hotel in Jefferson as a bartender. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Minnesota Vikings Football fan. Mike was loved by his family.
